a green sanctuary....

after the success of the internal renovations, we were asked to start work on their two large courtyards. They had great potential but currently the couple were surrounded by tall brick walls everywhere they looked.

 

The brief was to bring a green sanctuary into their urban setting.

On both courtyards we built large timber screens as a focual point and engulfed the remaining areas with plants that would eventually hide the walls. One courtyard was dedicated to sun bathing, whilst the other focused on entertaining. As both courtyards were fully exposed we sourced furniture that could handle the weather conditions all year round whilst still creating a relaxing sanctuary that tied in beautifully with their finished interior.
